# Banger + Other agents & CLI

Connect Claude Code, Codex CLI, Cursor, or another MCP client. These instructions are for developer tools; ChatGPT and Claude have their own app guides.

## Before you start

Install the client you want to use and sign in to Banger. Pick one of the setup options below—you do not need to run all of them.

MCP endpoint: https://api.bangermail.com/mcp

## 1. Claude Code

Run this command in your terminal. Start Claude Code, open /mcp, select banger, and authenticate in the browser.

claude mcp add --transport http --scope user banger https://api.bangermail.com/mcp
```

## 2. Codex CLI

Add the server, then log in. Complete the Banger authorization page in your browser.

```
codex mcp add banger --url https://api.bangermail.com/mcp
codex mcp login banger
```

## 3. Cursor or another MCP client

Use your client’s remote MCP setup. Enter Banger’s endpoint, choose Streamable HTTP and OAuth, then sign in to your workspace. Follow your client’s own instructions for its configuration format.

## 4. Start with one simple request

Open a new conversation with Banger enabled. Ask it to list your mailboxes and summarize your active Journeys and recent Broadcasts. This checks the connection before you create anything.
