Affiliate Program Terms

Apply in Banger

These terms (the Affiliate Terms) cover the Banger affiliate program run by BangerMail Inc. (Banger, we). They add to our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy, which also apply to you. You accept them when you join the program.

1. Applying

Any person with a Banger account can apply from Settings → Affiliate in the Banger app, or by asking their AI to apply through the Banger app connection. You tell us your main channel (your site, newsletter, videos or profile), who it reaches, and how you’ll promote Banger, and you choose a code, which is also the end of your link (bangermail.com/r/yourcode). One affiliate account per person.

A person at Banger reviews every application. We use automated checks to decline applications that clearly break section 7, such as coupon sites or plans to send unsolicited email. We email you the decision. Your link and code work once your application is approved. If we decline it, you can apply again after 90 days.

Before your first payout, we also review your account once more (see section 6).

2. What you earn

You earn 20% of the net revenue from each workspace you refer, on every payment it makes in the 12 months after its first payment. Payments after those 12 months earn nothing.

Net revenue is what the customer actually paid Banger: after discounts and credits, excluding tax, and minus refunds and chargebacks. Free plans, signups and trials earn nothing; only money we receive does.

3. What the people you refer get

Your code gives a new customer 10% off their first 3 months of a paid plan. On a yearly plan, Stripe applies it to the first year. When someone arrives through your link, Banger applies your code at checkout for them; they can also type it at checkout.

4. Who counts as your referral

  • Your link counts for 60 days from the first click, in that browser. The first affiliate link a person follows is the one that counts; a later link does not replace it.
  • Your code, typed at checkout, wins over a link, as long as the workspace has not made its first payment yet.
  • Only new customers count: a person whose Banger account is less than 60 days old and who has not paid for any workspace before.
  • You never earn from yourself, from a second account of yours, or from a workspace you are a member of.

Once a workspace has made its first payment, its affiliate does not change.

5. When commission becomes payable

Commission is held for 30 days after each payment. A refund or a dispute in that time takes back the matching share of the commission. A refund or a lost dispute after the commission was paid is subtracted from your next payouts; we never ask you to send money back. If we win a dispute, the commission is restored.

6. Payouts

  • We pay on the 1st of each month, for commission that became payable before that month began, once your payable balance is $50 or more. A smaller balance rolls over to the next month.
  • Payouts are sent through Stripe to the bank account you enter on Stripe’s own form, in your local currency where Stripe supports it. Banger never sees your bank details. Banger pays the transfer fee; currency conversion is at Stripe’s rate.
  • Your first payout waits for a one-time review by a person at Banger. We look at who you are, where your customers came from and what they bought. After we approve it, every payout runs on its own.
  • If Stripe cannot pay a bank account in your country, we will work out another way to pay you; your balance stays yours meanwhile.
  • If a payout fails or comes back, the amount returns to your balance and goes out with a later payout once your payout details are fixed.

7. How you may promote Banger

You may promote Banger anywhere people choose to hear from you: your site, newsletter, videos, social posts, communities where it is welcome, and your own clients.

You may not:

  • send unsolicited email, direct messages or comments to promote Banger, or use bought, rented or scraped lists;
  • bid on Banger, Banger Mail, bangermail or any misspelling of them in search or social ads, or use them in a domain name, app name or social handle;
  • publish your code on coupon, deal or cashback sites, or offer people money or rewards to sign up through your link;
  • pretend to be Banger, say you speak for Banger, or say anything about Banger that is not true, for example that it is free forever or end-to-end encrypted;
  • refer yourself, create accounts to earn commission, or use stolen or fake payment details.

Banger is an email company. Spam sent in our name harms every Banger customer’s email, so we enforce this section strictly.

8. Suspension

If you break these terms, we may suspend your affiliate account. When we do, your link and code stop working and commission not yet paid to you is forfeited. Commission already paid stays yours unless it came from fraud.

9. Taxes

You are responsible for your own taxes on what you earn. Before paying you, we or Stripe may ask for tax information, such as a W-9 in the United States or a W-8BEN elsewhere. US affiliates who earn $600 or more in a year receive a Form 1099.

10. Changes and leaving

We may change these terms with 30 days’ notice by email. A change never reduces commission you have already earned. You can leave the program at any time; a payable balance of $50 or more is paid with the next monthly payout.

You are an independent affiliate, not an employee, agent or partner of Banger. Questions: support@bangermail.com.
