Shared layouts
One header and footer for many emails. Change it once, review the impact, and publish it everywhere.
In this guide 4 sections
A layout wraps many emails in the same header and footer. Open Settings › Email defaults › Manage shared layouts.
Create and publish
- Choose Create brand layout. It starts from your brand kit.
- Edit the layout HTML. Keep exactly one
{{ content }}slot: that’s where each email’s body goes. - Add images from the Email image library, and fill in the Layout message strings, the text that gets translated.
- Choose Save layout draft.
- Choose Request layout publication review. Banger shows the impact first: how many emails and active Journeys use it.
- Approve it in Approvals. The current version stays live until then.
Versions
Every published version is kept. Restore a revision, then Copy to new draft to start from an older one.
Good to know
- Layouts are translated like any other email content.
- Attaching a layout to an email is done through your AI or the API. The app manages layouts but doesn’t attach them yet.
Try it with your AI
Create a shared layout from our brand with the logo on top and our address and unsubscribe link in the footer. Attach it to all Journey emails and show me the impact before requesting review.
