Mailboxes
Add and manage mailboxes
Free Banger addresses, addresses on your own domain, connecting Gmail, sender names, pauses, and deleting a mailbox.
In this guide 5 sections
Mailboxes are inboxes people and your AI read and send from. They’re free and unlimited on every plan. Open Mailboxes › Add mailbox.
Three kinds
| Banger address | Your domain | Gmail | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Example | quiet-maple@bangermail.com | support@yourcompany.com | you@gmail.com or Google Workspace |
| Needs | Nothing | A connected domain with Mail set up | A paid plan |
| Can email | Only yourself and your other Banger addresses | Anyone | Anyone |
- Banger address: leave the name empty for a generated one. Use it to try Banger before your domain is ready.
- Your domain: pick the domain and type the name. Domains without Mail set up are shown but disabled.
- Gmail: choose Continue with Google. Only new mail comes in. Starter connects 1 Gmail account, Pro 2, Business 10, Scale 25.
Sender name
Open a mailbox’s ⋯ menu, then Set display name. The preview shows how it appears in the recipient’s inbox. For Gmail, change it in Gmail.
Paused mailboxes
Banger pauses a mailbox after 3 or more spam complaints within an hour. Choose Resume sending once you know why. A second pause within 30 days needs a review by Banger. A Gmail mailbox that lost access shows Resume: reconnect it, and mail from the gap is skipped.
Delete a mailbox
⋯ › Delete mailbox first shows what goes with it: messages and drafts, pending sends, and any Broadcasts, Journeys, or signup forms that use it.
Try it with your AI
Create a support@ mailbox on our domain with the display name “Acme Support”, and show me which Journeys reply to it.
