Unsubscribes, bounces, and suppressions
Which addresses Banger never emails, why, and how to remove a suppression.
In this guide 4 sections
A suppressed address gets no email from the workspace: no Broadcasts, Journeys, or API sends. Open Audience › Suppressions.
Why an address is suppressed
- Hard bounce: the address doesn’t exist.
- Complaint: the person marked your email as spam.
- Unsubscribe: the person used the unsubscribe link.
- Provider: the sending provider refuses the address.
- Manual: someone added it.
Suppressions apply across the whole workspace, not one project. Banger stores a fingerprint of the address, not the address itself, so the list shows each entry as Protected.
Unsubscribe links
Every Broadcast and every Marketing email in a Journey must include an unsubscribe link. Banger won’t send without one. Product emails, like receipts, don’t need one.
Remove a suppression
Choose Remove next to the entry. It takes effect immediately, with no confirmation. Only remove one if you know the address is valid again or the person asked to hear from you. Sending to bad addresses hurts delivery for everyone in the workspace.
